Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen the VL38 Wall Lamp has an organically shaped shade paired with a slender brass stem.
The VL38 Wall lamp was originally designed for the Radiohuset building in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Now home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The lamps curved shade provides direct down-lighting providing a gentle soft light source. Perfect for use as a bedside lamp or used in multiple numbers to light larger spaces such as restaurants or cafes. The lamp features a small switch on the base.
True to its original design these lamps have been subtly updated with the use of an LED light source, bringing them up-to-date with modern light technology and energy efficiency.
“Vilhelm Lauritzen was a master of the art of uniting materials and light. He carried out indepth studies of daylight as early as in the 1920s, and throughout his working life he was devoted to developing and improving his lamps, which blended in harmoniously with the buildings he designed.” Rasmus Markholt.
Initially released in white and brass only, the VL38 range is now available in a classic black and brass finish.
