The Eames Desk Unit or EDU is a colourful and practical desk designed by the renowned Charles and Ray Eames.
The Eames Desk Unit is part of a range of products developed by Charles and Ray Eames. These products were designed according to the principles of industrial series production. Sharing the same construction methodology to create various different pieces including a desk, storage units Eames Storage Units (ESU) and Eames Storage Unit - Bookcase. With its eye-catching combination of coloured panels, the EDU desk adds a cheerful and inviting accent to the home office. The metal support frame has an industrial yet refined look and is height-adjustable to accommodate uneven surfaces.
Tastes have changed over the years and in collaboration with the Eames Office and designer Hella Jongerius, a carefully considered new colour scheme was chosen to give the update the EDU with a contemporary look, while still retaining the spirit of the 1940s and '50s.
