Enzo Mari

Enzo Mari was born in Novara, Italy, in 1932. An artist and designer, he attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in the early ’50s and dedicated his attention to research into the methodology of design. As a true philologist of the language of the visual arts, he turned his attention to design in the late ’50s, fully aware of the need to work towards a global project of quality within mass culture.
