Jacob Jensen

A unique, pure and classic form developed by Jacob Jensen and refined by his son, Timothy Jacob Jensen. Two generations of Danish designers who, for over fifty years, have contributed to the aesthetics of daily life and pleasure by designing products for everyday use, filled with ideas, radical purity and quiet beauty.

Jacob Jensen studied at Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts and was inspired to join a brand new course in ‘Industrial Design’. The international breakthrough of Danish Design occurred during the very years that Jacob Jensen attended the school.
Jacob Jensen’s design is exhibited in a number of art and design museums around the world. MoMA in New York has purchased Jacob Jensen designs for its permanent collection, and today owns 19 pieces.
Jacob Jensen has received more than 100 national and international awards for his design. In 1996 he was honoured with the “Knight of the Order of Dannebrog”.
